Normal Horse Serum

Our Departmental Safety Officer came upon this and showed it to me:

The question is, is it serum which has been collected from a horse in the normal way (whatever that may be exactly), or is it serum from a normal horse, not a mutant horse?

I've injected some into my housemate John while he was asleep to see if it gives him normal Horse Powers, but as yet no signs of change.

Hmm, perhaps it was meant to read "normal horse rum"?

Have you considered the possibility that it is normal as in untreated. (No colourings, flavourings or preservatives)
There may be some raspberry horse serum lurking around there somewhere...

Perhaps it's serum from a horse used as a blocking solution for immunohistochemistry to prevent background staining????
